The conception, recording, and production of this album has always been a dream for myself and my friends, and its release has been long anticipated. While the project was initially driven by pure ambition to record and put our own music out into the world, the process of it all has forced me to reflect on the experiences that have inspired the music it contains. I initially met my bandmates at the University of Illinois, and Off Campus seemed a fitting title, as the project was recorded immediately following our graduation. Each composition was inspired by our experiences together - the post-recital hangs, our gigs at venues like the Rose Bowl and the Illini Union (both well and sometimes poorly attended), rehearsals that were thrilling and sometimes frustrating, and working with those who inspired and mentored us along the way. Now that the project is complete, I realize the reflection of these experiences that it mirrors and the excitement for where it may take us in the future. I am especially humbled to share this excitement with all of you.
